Aim straight for consistency
The feet, hips, and shoulders should all be in a straight line together, and need to be aimed parallel to the left of the desired target. If any one of these three lines is off, there will have to be compensation somewhere during the swing
When practicing alignment, lay a club or alignment stick on the ground between the ball and your feet, pointing slightly to the left of the desired target. This will help get your feet, hips, and shoulders lined up straight.
